Relief

Thankfully, Lauren's doctor let her go home today. After spending 4 days and 3 nights in the hospital, I couldn't be happier. She is still sick, but she is over the worst of it. We'll be giving her breathing treatments with a nebulizer, and suctioning her mucus.

It's one of the worst things to see your helpless child suffer, and knowing that you can't really do much more than try to make her more comfortable. At least we're at home for the meantime. Last night I slept on the floor of her half of the room (we had to share with another family). I can't recommend sleeping on the floor of a hospital room. Lauren's nurse was kind enough to give me a blanket and pillow.

For now, we will be restricted to staying at home. No outings with the baby. Wash your hands when you come home. Don't share your germs. Being sick is so much fun.

I'm so glad that she's home.

Ahhh, sweet relief! We've been praying for her. In fact, E. prays for her every night before he goes to bed. We hope she is better soon and that all of you are getting better rest!
