Lauren is still in the hospital. I don't know if she'll be released on Sunday, or if we will spend a third night in the hospital. Right now, she is having difficulty breathing due to the large amount of sputum in her throat and nose. She gets a treatment every couple of hours to help dislodge the mucus. It is pretty hard to watch.
It seems that RSV is sweeping through town at the moment. I think there are about 15 to 20 kids in the Pediatric ward of Memorial Hospital. Hopefully, Lauren will progress well enough that she can come back home. Right now, my wife is staying in the room with her. They only let one parent stay the night, because of the lack of room. I get to stay at home, and worry about them both.
