The Lost Children Of Baise City

The UNFPA has yet to make a comment on, or even recognize, the tragedy that occurred in Baise City, Guangxi Region, China; concerning abortions forced on several dozen mothers. I doubt that they will, considering that it would raise doubts about the UNFPA claim that the Family Planning Commission does not carry out forced abortions. Better that they not talk about it at all, right?
UNFPA, the United Nations Population Fund, is an international development agency that promotes the right of every woman, man and child to enjoy a life of health and equal opportunity. UNFPA supports countries in using population data for policies and programmes to reduce poverty and to ensure that every pregnancy is wanted, every birth is safe, every young person is free of HIV/AIDS, and every girl and woman is treated with dignity and respect.

UNFPA – because everyone counts.

...everyone except women and children in China.

I did find a new site for news in Aisa. Radio Free Asia is a non-profit news organization that covers news in Burma, Cambodia, China, Korea, Laos, Tibet, Uyghur, and Vietnam. I found their coverage of the forced abortions was a little more personal. Also, it is reported that there has been a rash of forced abortions in Laizhou City, Shandong Province, China. I'll see if I can find out more about that this week.

If you know of a way to get involved in China, I am looking for a practical way to get involved and would appreciate any suggestions.
