Never Say Goodbye

Nothing is lost yet, nothing broken,
and yet the cold blue word is spoken:
say goodbye now to the Sun,
the days of love and leaves are done.

Robert Peter Tristram (R.P.T.) Coffin

Not to be maudlin, but goodbyes are difficult. The uncertainty of what lies ahead is punctuated by the certainty that whatever it is, it lies away from here, away from the loved ones we have been so close to of late, and away from the sanctuary of the church of my youth.

This weekend we move up to the hills again. Not "The Hills". Thank God for that. We're still planning to sell the house, whenever that happens. After that the plan is to go back to Bako. We'll see what happens between now and then. Prayers always appreciated. Always best just to pray for God's will.

Here we go, from the green haze of Summer into the rust and gold of Autumn.

your poem is lost in the black background of your page...shows up just fine in my GoogleReader though :-) Hope the move goes well!

A great time to move back into the mountains, though, when the leaves are turning and the sun isn't so hot. I'll be sure to pray for you.
