How is it November already?

This has been a very fast year. No one told me that time would start folding on itself once you had a child. It seems like this year went from January, to March, and then bounced through June and part of July, before it skipped and tripped through September and October - and then like a school kid running through the halls, it tried to feign a nonchalant swagger once it realized that someone was watching. November.... really? Already?

So, we've been living back up here in the hills again for about a month and a smidge. We just listed the house again (with a new Realtor) and are waiting to see what happens. If the right offer comes along, we can afford to make plans to head back to BuckOwensville. If we aren't getting offered enough, then we'll make plans to stay put a few more trips 'round the Sun. The real estate market can't continue tanking forever, right? ....Right? ...Hello?

In other news...

My daughter has a new, favorite song. It isn't anything by Raffi, or the Wiggles, or anything nearly as age appropriate. In fact, it used to be one of my favorite songs, until I heard it for the 18th time in a row. How many times would you like to hear about Cecilia shaking my confidence? Yeah, she likes Cecilia, by Simon and Garfunkel. I fall on the floor and I laughing. It's nearly as bad as the Friend's episode, "The One With Ross' Inappropriate Song". It could be worse. I could be listening to Bananaphone.

If I could give new parents one piece of advice it is to ban grandparents from ever giving a Raffi CD to the children.

Ever.

Ps. I can't wait to see L. again. She is such a cutie.

I'd love to see you all, as well. How is everyone, Brandy?
