For Your Consideration

There are more than 800 fires burning at the moment, in California. As of this morning, the Oliver Fire is threatening the community that I used to live in , only 3 months ago. The Oliver Fire is 0% contained as of today, and the Mariposa County Sheriff is prepared to evacuate the community. Four, former co-workers and their families live in that community. I'm asking that you pray for the firefighters working to save the neighborhood, the families, and the forest. Please pray for their safety.

For those of you who may not know me. I lived in Ponderosa Basin for a little more than two years, while I worked for the power company as a Lineman in Oakhurst, CA. I may live in Fresno, now, but my heart is still tied to that beautiful country. I'll update as I find links that seem helpful.

I took this photo up in Wawona , today. With all that smoke, it made for some beautiful light. That always strikes me odd, when beauty is laid side by side with destruction. Just beyond that haze in the background, and on the other side of Chowchilla Mountain is the Oliver Fire.

Again, I ask that you keep all those affected by these fires in your prayers.
