My Thoughts on My Thoughts

I haven't written much lately. Mostly, this is because I haven't really had time to think about anything lately.

No. Life isn't especially hectic. It isn't too busy. I just haven't been ruminating on anything. We've taken trips to the beach, lately. Morro Bay is always beautiful. This time of the year, and any other. We've been enjoying the pool in our backyard. Even went to the zoo a few weeks back.

Life has been good.

This last week brought a small storm to the Fresno area, which allowed me the opportunity to play at being a Troubleman for an evening. For the most part, it was tree limbs lying on customers' electrical services. I did have one backyard easement transformer that I had to climb the pole to re-fuse. In the end, it was an easy night of overtime, capped by a decent meal at the Landmark restaurant in Fresno's Tower District.

I've been enjoying my daughter's developing personality. Every day, her ability to express her thoughts, likes, and dislikes becomes more pointed. Hugs and kisses sometimes are given, even without having to ask. She's just glad I'm home. Affirmatives sound an awful lot like "No", until you realize that a negative is expressed as, "No no no no no" accompanied by a lot of dismissive hand waving.

I knew that being a husband and father would be good. I just didn't know how wonderful it would be.

I'm a lucky, lucky man.

I forgot to add, so I'm doing it now. A picture of mine was chosen to be the image that people see when they look up the Monterey Bay Aquarium in the online map called Schmap. I'm pretty stoked about it.

Check it out for yourself.
