One of my favorite sites to check in on regularly is the blog named, "Stuff Christians Like". It's a variation on the theme made popular by the Stuff White People Like. The guy who writes the blog is nothing if not prolific. He already has more posts than I do, and he's only been writing for a few months. The thing is, that he actually has funny stuff to say. He has somehow managed to tap into the collective experiences of the average evangelical - especially if you're close to 30 years old, and can still remember how cool Petra was, and how excited you were the first time you heard "Heavenbound" ( huh huh heaven hah haha ha heaven. I'm heaven bound).
I wanted to post this because of the picture I saw on his blog today. It's a church bulletin that someone drew on while at church. The picture of the guy at the top is what caught my eye. If you went to Calvary Bible Church in Bakersfield in the 1990s, and were in the youth group - take a long look at that mug at the top. That's it. You know it looks familiar. Would it help if the picture could show him wearing acid wash denim overall shorts and a pink shirt?
Oh Yeah.
