Projectile

It has been a long night/day. For all of us. Last night little L. snuggled up to Mommy, and then let loose with a stomach full. It's our first experience with toddler vomit, and it's been hard. It's hard to see her scared and in pain, unsure of what is happening. It's also hard not to throw up in my own mouth, when L.'s lunch comes spilling all over. Gobbets of partially digested something-or-other hit my feet. And somehow, I'm ok with it.

Now, believe me, if it was anyone else... I would be all about the upchucking. Somehow, the parental factor is keeping the queasy at ease.

Unfortunately, for Mommy, Little L.'s favorite place to go to throw up is on top of Mommy. I think she just wants to be close to Mommy when she's feeling her worst. Misery loves company - and it loves for its company to be equally miserable.

I'm praying that she feels better tonight. It's already been a long day.

Okay, due to my constant morning sickness, I could only scan this post, but I must say poor baby! And poor mommy. My kids love to throw up on me, too. Isn't it great, R.? We'll be hoping and praying that L. is better real soon.

Ah, brings back memories of you and your brothers and sis when one of you were sick. Talk about your projectile, N you were the master! And 90 percent of the time I was the designated cleaner-upper of the kid and the floor and the...well you know. Your poor mom couldn't handle the mess. Whew! Hope L is getting better. - Dad
