Heat Wave

This week has been a non-stop assault of hotness (not the good kind). Not the best of timing, considering that I have six 100 foot tall trees to chop up. I think I only made it about an hour and a half before I was completely soaked. Yeah, I know that's kinda gross.

The highlight of the weekend was getting to hear the heartbeat of my child for the first time. That was pretty darned awesome. It is so amazing to hear something so small. Its only a few months until life changes forever. I can't wait.

Following in a close second place this weekend was finding a store that carried Simple brand shoes. Possibly the most comfortable sneakers I've ever worn. They have a "rubber playground ball inspired outsole" and a "super squishy insole". I love love love these shoes.

Well, I guess I don't have much of anything to say. I was hoping for some lightning action tonight, but it looks like the clouds moved on. Talk to you later
