It's true. I'm not a full-time lineman anymore. At least, I'm not a lineman that builds lines. Not for now. I only inspect what has already been built. If you were to ask me what I miss about being a regular lineman, I would point to things like this.















I never got to do transmission hot-work, but I wouldn't pass up the opportunity to do this for a living. I found a really cool video of some guys doing some hot-work with a helicopter.

C'mon, Goob

Do you want some Power Lineman videos? It seems as though some of you have been looking for them. Here are a few of my favorites.

C'mon Goob - This is the infamous "pole top drop" that many of you may have seen. The poor guy got ahead of himself, and the rescue dummy pulled him right out of the wood.

Load Break - A massive arc goes out when the transmission switch opens.

It Go Boom - You can never be too careful.
